In August 2023, the first publication that includes initial results from the work in the BRAVA project was published by partners TU Berlin and Heraeus in the Journal of the Electrochemical Society entitled A Comparative Study on the Activity and Stability of Iridium-Based Co-Catalysts for Cell Reversal Tolerant PEMFC Anodes (see: https://iopscience.iop.org/article/10.1149/1945-7111/aceb8d)
These results show steps towards the long lifetime requirements in fuel cell applications, i.e., to improve stability of Platinum/C based anode catalysts in PEM fuel cells, also thinking about the future applications towards aviation in BRAVA. This work also shows the nice collaboration between TU Berlin and Heraeus, which will be exploited further in the BRAVA project for scale up of improved catalysts.
